Concerts, comedy shows and the Cedarburg Winter Festival are on this weekend’s lineup.

1. Jonathan Eig in Conversation with Cree Myles

FRIDAY FROM 6:30-8 P.M. | MILWAUKEE PUBLIC LIBRARY – CENTENNIAL HALL

See Jonathan Eig, author of the Martin Luther King Jr. biography King: A Life, speak with Cree Myles, book influencer and curator of Penguin Random House’s Instagram account “All Ways Black.” The book offers an intimate perspective and understanding on his life, including recently declassified FBI files. The two will discuss King’s life and legacy as a preacher and activist.

2. X-Ray Arcade’s Fifth Anniversary Party

FRIDAY FROM 7 P.M.-1 A.M. | X-RAY ARCADE

Celebrate X-Ray Arcade’s anniversary! This Cudahy concert venue has featured emerging artists for the past five years with a bar, food and retro arcade games. Bands and DJs will perform throughout the party, and the event is all ages with no cover fee.

3. Preacher Lawson

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY | MILWAUKEE IMPROV

Comedian Preacher Lawson is on tour stopping at Milwaukee Improv in Brookfield. Lawson got his start as a finalist on America’s Got Talent and has since filmed comedy specials and guest starred on HBO’s A Black Lady Sketch Show.

4. Handmade Market-Art A La Carts

ALL WEEKEND FROM 10 A.M.-4 P.M. | WAUKESHA COUNTY EXPOSITION CENTER

Find over 100 booths selling local handmade crafts, including decor, woodworking, embroidery, gifts, knickknacks and jewelry. Admission is $5 at the door, and parking is free.

5. Disney On Ice: Find Your Hero

ALL WEEKEND | FISERV FORUM

Experience the ocean and the island in the middle of winter with Moana and other princesses during Disney on Ice. As part of an upgraded experience before the show, the audience can join Moana for arts and crafts and a meet and greet session.

6. Cedarburg Winter Festival

ALL WEEKEND | DOWNTOWN CEDARBURG

Put on your leg-warmers and travel back to the ’80s for this annual Cedarburg festival. Inside the community gym, you’ll find a retro selfie photo wall, a soup contest, beer and wine, raffles and more. Outdoors, there will be an ice sculpting contest, a Malamute dog pull contest and a kids penguin egg hunt.

7. Kid Boogie Down Superhero Costume Dance Party

SATURDAY FROM 11 A.M.-2 P.M. | THE BAVARIAN BIERHAUS

Costumes are encouraged at this kids dance party, so wear your best superhero outfit and snap a selfie in front of the superhero backdrop! DJ lukewarm will be spinning with lights, lasers and bubbles. Sugar Spun will serve cotton candy, and kids will receive free glitter tattoos.

8. Diamond: The Legacy Tour

SATURDAY AT 8 P.M. | PABST THEATER

If you’ve ever wanted to see Neil Diamond in concert, this might be the next best thing. Performer Jay White and the Sweet Caroline Tour band put together this touring show after the singer announced his retirement.

9. Love Is Brewing at the Pabst Mansion

SATURDAY AT 4 P.M. | PABST MANSION

Take a special tour of the Pabst Mansion centered on Valentine’s Day. Learn about the love and the elaborate weddings from the Gilded Age while tasting champagne and chocolate. Tickets start at $25.

10. JP Cyr and the Ramblin’ Kind with Matt “MF” Turner

SATURDAY AT 8:00 P.M. | ANODYNE COFFEE AT WALKER’S POINT

This coffee shop turns into a live music venue at night. Listen to local country and western band JP Cyr & the Ramblin’ Kind. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.

11. Drop-In Tour: Art by Artists of the African Diaspora

SATURDAY FROM 2-3 P.M. | MILWAUKEE ART MUSEUM

View art by African American and Haitian artists from MAM’s collection. A docent will explain to viewers how the works tell the stories of the artists and their communities and address social issues.

12. RAM Showcase: Patrick Nagatani

SATURDAY FROM 10 A.M.-4 P.M. | RACINE ART MUSEUM

It’s your last chance to catch this exhibit at the Racine Art Museum. Nagatani’s photography work challenges the norm behind the artform, using forms of image manipulation to depict social, cultural and personal issues.

13. Kids Paper Making Workshop

SATURDAY FROM 1 P.M.-4 P.M. | WUSTUM MUSEUM

Learn about how paper is made, and then make your own! Kids aged 7-13 can create paper from pulp and use it for their next drawing, painting or art project. This class costs $35 for Racine Art Museum members and $40 for non-members. Register online two days before the event.

14. Free Day & Celebration: Vel Phillips’s 100th Birthday

SUNDAY FROM 10 A.M.-5 P.M. | MILWAUKEE ART MUSEUM

At the first event in MAM’s free day series, visitors have the chance to learn about the life of civil rights activist and former Wisconsin Secretary of State Vel Phillips. Tour the art galleries, make your own art, enjoy music and celebrate Phillip’s legacy.

15. Keg Stand-Up

SUNDAY FROM 6:30-8 P.M.| LAKEFRONT BREWERY

Once a month, the Lakefront Brewery beer hall turns into a comedy club. This live show features food, drinks and local comedians. Some adult themes will be expected, so attendees must be 18 or older to attend. Tickets are $15.
