Estabrook Park’s Oktoberfest Weekend, Harbor Fest, Doors Open Milwaukee and more are happening this weekend.

1. Harvest Fair

ALL WEEKEND | WISCONSIN STATE FAIR GROUNDS  

This year the Harvest Fair is celebrating 31 years. Enjoy free live entertainment, family friendly fall activities, many State Fair food vendors and a farmers’ market. This year there is a $5 admission fee, but children 11-years-old and under will receive free admission.

2. Oktoberfest Weekend at Estabrook Beer Garden

ALL WEEKEND | ESTABROOK PARK

The Estabrook Beer Garden is celebrating a weekend of Oktoberfest fun. Many live musicians are set to perform each day. You can expect different activities like a brat eating relay and a “Masskrugstemmen,” a traditional Bavarian strength contest where competitors hold a full one-liter beer stein out with straight arms. Whoever is the last one standing wins! The event is free to enter, while food and drink will be offered for sale.

3. Gardens of Reflection

ALL WEEKEND | MITCHELL PARK DOMES

Gardens of Reflection opened this week as the fall floral show at the Domes. This display showcases traditional Asian gardening techniques, featuring a combination of chrysanthemums, conifers, irises and asters. 

4. Club XCX

FRIDAY AT 8 P.M. | 181 N. FARWELL AVE

Brat summer is meant to be celebrated 365 days a year. Sets by DJ Aviator and Abbey Rae will be bumpin’ Charli XCX, ARCA, Slayyyter, Shygirl, SOPHIE, 100 gecs and more at Vivarium this Friday night. Must be 18+ to attend.

5. Beer Trail Invitational

SATURDAY FROM 2-6 P.M. | HAVENWOODS TAPROOM AND BEER GARDEN

Taste beer from over 30 different breweries while you hike around the back Beer Garden and Trail. Purchase tickets online.

6. Doors Open Milwaukee

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY | HISTORIC MILWAUKEE

Doors Open Milwaukee is a celebration of Milwaukee’s history, neighborhoods and architecture for the community. Explore the city through behind the scenes tours and stop into art galleries, urban gardens and more.

7. Fall Colors River Kayak Experience

SATURDAY AT 10 AND 11 A.M. | 3829 W. BROWN DEER RD.

Paddle down the upper Milwaukee River while taking in the fall colors. Transportation and a kayak or canoe will be provided, then float down the river at your own pace. Must be 12 years old or older to paddle your own boat.

8. Dog Days of Summer

SATURDAY FROM 11 A.M.-5 P.M. | THE IRON HORSE HOTEL

This Saturday is the last chance to attend YAPPY Hour at the hotel’s pet-friendly promotion. Partnered with Good Boy Vodka, a portion of the proceeds go to support the Dog-to-Dog Tags Foundation.

9. Simone Biles Gold Over America Tour

SATURDAY AT 7:30 P.M. | FISERV FORUM

Fresh off the Paris Olympics, Simone Biles is making her way to Milwaukee for the Gold Over America Tour. The most decorated gymnast of all time is joining the celebration to inspire the next generation of athletes and deliver a exciting routine.

10. Southside Dining Week 2024

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY | SOUTHSIDE MILWAUKEE

North Shore Bank presents a full week to taste test signature dishes from the over 50 restaurants participating in Southside Dining Week. It kicks-off with a party at Zocalo Food Truck Park on Saturday.

11. AfroFuxion Day Party

SUNDAY FROM 3-8 P.M. | RADIO MILWAUKEE

Radio Milwaukee is set to bring a day of African food, Afrobeats, Amapiano and Dancehall with DJ Neo and Kashka this Sunday.

12. Harbor Fest

SUNDAY FROM 11 A.M.-3 P.M. | HARBOR DISTRICT

This is a festival dedicated to Milwaukee’s inner harbor. Attendees can take a boat ride, help to release a baby sturgeon, tour the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s School of Freshwater Sciences and more, all free of charge.
