1. World Premiere of Hypotheticals

Kith and Kin Theatre Collective is bringing the world premiere of Hypotheticals, written by Milwaukee playwright Rebecca Anne Nguyen, to the stage this weekend. The play is about a woman who kisses a stranger in an elevator on her way to psychotherapy – and then quickly finds out the stranger she kissed was, in fact, her therapist. 2. Beautifica 360 at Horwitz-DeRemer Planetarium
FRIDAY FROM 5-8 P.M. | HORWITZ-DEREMER PLANETARIUM
Composer James Hood and a team of immersive animators put together a mixture of real and imagined particle fields. For kids and adults alike, the immersive experience is full of colors, sights and sound in a 3D and 360 degrees show.
3. Play Date with Art: Rainbow Connections
FRIDAY FROM 10 A.M.-NOON | MILWAUKEE ART MUSEUM
Teach your child to love art with the Milwaukee Art Museum. For children ages five and under, Play Date with Art: Rainbow Connections teaches kids how to make a monochromatic collage using assorted colorful materials. Then there’s a sing-along after! Admission is free for members and drop-in tickets are available online.

4. ’80s Prom: The First Wave + DJ Sage Schwarm
FRIDAY FROM 7-11 P.M. | THE COOPERAGE
The Cooperage is bringing back the ’80s with The First Wave and DJ Sage Schwarm. There is an ’80s prom photo area, and a neon king and queen will be crowned. The First Wave becomes many of the classic ’80s musicians like Depeche Mode, David Bowie and the Pet Shop Boys. General admission is $11. Don’t forget your dancing shoes and hairspray!
5. Star Girl
FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY | RACINE THEATRE GUILD
The Racine Theatre Guild will perform Jerry Spinelli’s Star Girl. The book adaptation follows Leo Borlock on his journey to stop caring what other people think of him. Star Girl is a coming-of-age story about always staying true to yourself. Tickets are available at the box office.
6. Pomona Fest

Pomona Cider Co. is celebrating its one year anniversary! The two-day celebration is equipped with limited release merch and cider taps, raffles, family activities, local vendors, cidery tours and a special hot food menu.
7. Quetzalcoatl: Make an Alebrije with Ceci Tejeda
SATURDAY FROM 10 A.M.-4 P.M. | LYNDEN SCULPTURE GARDEN
If you’re looking to flex your creative muscles and learn about Mexican culture, join Ceci Tejeda and learn how to make a cartonería. She will spend time immersing the class in the legend on the Aztec deity Quetzalcoatl, who transformed into a feathered serpent. Then, you’ll create your own Quetzalcoatl using traditional cartonería techniques. No experience is necessary and this event is suitable for adults and children 12 and up.
8. Brickworld Milwaukee 2024
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY FROM 10 A.M.-6 P.M. | WISCONSIN STATE FAIR PARK
The LEGO Fan Exposition has 50,000 square feet of creations made out of LEGO bricks by local LEGO enthusiasts, interactive activities like a graffiti wall and seek and finds, and vendors to purchase LEGO sets and mini-figures. Tickets are available online and at the door.

11. Graveyard Gallery III – Lasagna Cat: A Garfield-Themed Pop-Up Market

The Honeycomb Collective has a Garfield themed pop-up market happening this weekend. Over a dozen vendors are selling goods all related to Garfield. The event is all ages and entrance is free.
12. DJ Brunch with DJ Sandy
SUNDAY FROM NOON-2 P.M. | COMPANY BREWING
Company Brewing is hosting Sunday brunch with a twist – DJ Sandy! Brunch hour begins at 11 a.m. with music to follow at noon. The food menu is available online as well as a list of their specialty brewed beers.
