Carson’s has quite the Chicago reputation. Carson’s brings to Milwaukee a similar menu and what promises to be a swanky space. Here’s a look at the menu: BBQ baby-back ribs, chicken and pork chops; steaks from a 10 ounce filet to a black Angus NY strip. There’s also a Prime burger , shrimp Dejonghe , char-grilled salmon and more.

A sharp focus on meats, including the great Milwaukee Rib. Grits and mac and cheese are among the sides.
The aroma emitted by Edna cannot be denied. “She” perfumes Iron Grate BBQ Co., overriding the smell of roasted coffee beans. Edna’s 10-foot-long, 500-gallon, mostly recycled self is the force behind half of this unusual business model. Iron Grate shares 8,000 square feet of real estate with roaster-café Hawthorne Coffee.

While the decor conjures up a pseudo-bordello (red paint, crystal-like chandeliers), the cuisine takes off in various directions: BBQ (really fine beef brisket), raw oysters from the coasts, Louisiana jambalaya, and ??low country?? South Carolina specialties like?frogmore stew. A mint julep will get you in the mood.

Contrary to its name, Vagabond’s warm and modern atmosphere will encourage you to stay and mingle longer than expected. A 1970’s Airstream sits smack dab in the middle of the restaurant – now transformed into a bar – lending the restaurant a sepia-toned sheen of nostalgia. Culinarily, this across-from-the-Marcus-Center venue straddles the culinary line, with pub food and just homey, delicious goes-with-any drink food. Examples: Scotch egg, rumaki, Rumpus burger and pork schnitzel.
Located inside the Hyatt Regency, this American restaurant has all the classics and then some. Start off with some Wisconsin cheese curds or avocado toast for an appetizer and then choose between scrumptious burgers, sandwiches or heartier meats for the main.
