The menu is divided into meat, seafood and vegetarian categories (the Celtic ??triskele?? symbol has three interlocked spirals). The restaurant is a tad south of Walker??s Point restaurant developments, and that gives it sleeper status. A terrific place for mussels (the Tuesday-night special), burgers and create-your-own mac and cheese.
Aficionados of craft beer and spirits are the people seated at the bar, yapping with the tenders.? Culinarily, this across-from-the-Marcus-Center venue straddles the culinary line, with pub food and just homey, delicious goes-with-any drink food. Examples: Scotch egg, rumaki, Rumpus burger and pork schnitzel.

The sizable Japanese menu is at once kind to lovers of raw fish and the theatrical hibachi. Spring for tempura (veggie and/or shrimp), sushi and sashimi, special maki rolls and any appetizer from the sushi bar. Wash them down with a cold Sapporo.

This dive (meant in the kindest way) overlooking Pewaukee Lake offers almost no place to stand comfortably when it’s busy, but you stand, awkwardly, near the bar or the wood-accented, nautical-themed dining room, and just hope that someone gets up and leaves soon. It’s all worth this period of limbo. The crust is like a round, uniformly thin piece of lavosh lavished in toppings that improve when you add “super,” as in Super Special. That’s pepperoni and sausage, black olives and onions, green peppers and mushrooms.
