Color is the Name of the Game for Spring

Color is the Name of the Game for Spring

Whenever I’m asked to be in a photo shoot I jump at the chance (AHHHH I get to be a MODEL!!), before I really think about it. Fast forward to the night before the shoot and I’m having a mental breakdown in front of a full length mirror, glaring at my thighs with hate and wishing I hadn’t binged on an entire big bag of chocolate acai berries. Then I go through this whole cycle of trapping my husband in corners and asking (threatening) “Do I look pretty slash skinny, and why?” This is when I become my psycho alter…

Then I go through this whole cycle of trapping my husband in corners and asking (threatening) “Do I look pretty slash skinny, and why?” This is when I become my psycho alter ego which I like to call Gwenevere. It’s not until after the photo shoot that I snap out of it and turn back in to Lyneé. That said, I was super excited to be in this coming issue of Milwaukee Magazine’s “The Trend.”

This spring is going to be all about bright colors, prints, and mixes of texture. The latest trend that will be sweeping the stores is colored denim. In the shoot I wear a pair of bright poppy red pants that were so adorable I had to buy them. If you’re looking for colored denim I would suggest going to Next Door boutique in Brookfield, it’s the denim queen of Milwaukee. There were also adorable colorful dresses that I can’t wait to get my hands on (love the maxi!).

Check out the behind the scenes video here for a sneak peak of the looks!

It was madness in the studio with all the models, stylists and wardrobe stylists, I really give a hand to Studio 890 who worked magic in their little corner. My favorite look was the messy fishtail braid (braids are all over the red carpet this season), as well as glossy voluminous curls.

Writing about tips and tricks she learns along the way for Milwaukee Magazine is one of her favorite creative outlets.
