19 Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: July 26-31

Weird Fest returns with strange brews and stranger events. It’s just one big event on a busy beer calendar.

Tuesday, July 26

Eagle Park Brewing Company is bringing a few of its beers to Leff’s Lucky Town (7208 W. State St.) starting at 6 p.m. Get there early if you want a pour of the limited Booze for Breakfast: French Toast Imperial Stout.

Take on Wisconsin Brewing Company and Lake Louie Brewing in another installment of Beat the Brewer at Whirlyball (185 S. Moorland Rd.). Try samples from both starting at 6:30 p.m. The competition starts at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, July 27

Third Space Brewing and Fair State Brewing Cooperative are bringing their collab, Bridging & Bonding IPA, to Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.) at 4 p.m. There will also be Fair State and Third Space beers on tap, including the new Third Space Out of This World, a double New England IPA that hasn’t been released yet.

Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. is taking over more than a dozen taps at The Tap Yard Waukesha (1150 W. Sunset Dr.) at 5 p.m.

Plant & Sip Succulent Bar comes to The Tap Yard West Bend (4875 County Hwy. Z) at 6 p.m. Tickets are $60 and include a beverage and the tools you need to build a cool succulent garden.

Sprecher Brewing’s Traveling Beer Garden makes its way to Doctors Park (1870 E. Fox Ln., Fox Point) until Aug. 14. Hours are 5 to 9 p.m. on weekdays at 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.

Thursday, July 28

Sprecher Brewing Co. (701 W. Glendale Ave.) hosts a free Shred415 workout at 5:30 p.m. You also get a complimentary pint after you’re done. Register ahead of time to save your spot.

Girls Pint Out is having a meet up at one of the area’s newest breweries, Perspective Brewing Company (7508 W. Greenfield Ave.), at 7 p.m.

The second stop for Plant & Sip Succulent Bar this week is MobCraft (505 S. 5th St.). They’ll be there from 6 to 8 p.m.

Friday, July 29

Oktoberfest in July is happening at Third Space (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.). The brewery is releasing Oktoberfest and raising money for the Museum of Beer & Brewing from 5 to 8 p.m.

1840 Brewing’s Beer Garden Road Show returns to the Frontier Park Clubhouse (5301 N. Park Dr., Butler) from 4 to 11 p.m.

Sample beers from Lion’s Tail Brewing from 3 to 6 p.m. at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.).

Saturday, July 30

Weird Fest is happening again at MobCraft Beer (505 S. 5th St.). The block party runs from noon to 10 p.m. and includes some strange limited release beers (Curry Kölsch anyone?) and a slew of unique activities like belly dancing, Mondo Lucha wrestling and fire dancing. MobCraft is also releasing its 9 Year Anniversary Beer, a bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout finished in port wine barrels. Get there at noon to pick up a two-pack.

Milwaukee Brewfest returns to the lakefront at McKinley Park (1750 N. Lincoln Memorial Dr.). The large beer fest combines dozens of breweries with an amazing setting. Doors open at 2 p.m. for VIPs and 3 p.m. for the general public. Tickets start at $65.

Head to Sahale Ale Works (1505 Wisconsin Ave., Grafton) for a Drink, Dine and Donate event. From noon to 10 p.m., one dollar from every full pour or can sold benefits Balance, an organization that benefits those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The day includes live music from Christy Anna and food from The Taco Guy.

There’s a lot going on at 3 Sheeps Brewing (1837 North Ave., Sheboygan). The Brat City Strongest Competition starts at 10 a.m. Participants compete in events like keg clean and press, and a fire truck harness pull. The Sheboygan Professional Firefighters Local 483 will also be there and they’re bringing a fire truck and ambulance for kids to tour. The firefighters are also hosting a Pints for a Purpose/Fill the Boot fundraiser to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. 3 Sheeps will be donating a portion of the proceeds to the cause. Expect food, raffles and excellent 3 Sheeps beer.

Bend & Brew is coming to Indeed Brewing (530 S. 2nd St.) at 10 a.m. The free yoga session lasts an hour and includes one dollar off of a post-workout beer.

Leinenkugel’s and Lion’s Tail will both be offering samples at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 1 to 3 p.m.

Sunday, July 31

BBQ Fest comes to The Tap Yard Brookfield (2925 N. Barker Rd.) from noon to 6 p.m. Four barbecue food trucks will be there to pair with the great tap selection.
