11 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: Jan. 12-16

Winter doldrums are no match for a full slate of craft beer events. This week is a busy one.

Wednesday, Jan. 12

Chicago’s Pipeworks Brewing Co. is coming to Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.) from 4 to 10 p.m. They’re bringing six different beers and some glassware. Those who order one of the first 24 flights get a free Pipeworks pint glass.

Repeat Request Double IPA goes on tap at 1840 Brewing Co. (342 E. Ward St.). Bottle presale for the weekly release starts on Friday at 9 a.m.

Thursday, Jan. 13

The latest Winter Series Beer Pairing Dinner comes to Elder+Rime (2300 N. Mayfair Rd.) from 6 to 8 p.m. The three-course dinner includes beer from 1840 Brewing Company. Cost is $95 and there are a limited amount of spots available.

Lakefront Brewery isn’t messing around with the launch of Bumble Bear Honey Brown Ale. Lakefront is hosting four launch parties at all four Camp bar locations. The first one is at Deer Camp (1023 N. Old World Third) at 6 p.m. The other launch parties are at Camp Bar Tosa (Jan. 19), Camp Bar Third Ward (Jan. 26) and Camp Bar Shorewood (Feb. 2).

Barley’s Angels Milwaukee is having a meetup at Sugar Maple (441 E. Lincoln Ave.) at 6 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 15

Gathering Place Brewing (811 Vienna Ave.) is releasing a pair of beers at 2 p.m. Lederhosen Tuxedo Dunkel Weizenbock is available on draft and in cans. Belgian Pale Ale is an IPA fermented with Belgian yeast and is only on draft.

MobCraft Beer (505 S. 5th St.) is doing some housekeeping and you benefit. The warehouse sale runs from noon to 5 p.m. and gives you the chance to get great deals on all sorts of beer styles and merch. Check out what’s available.

Challenge yourself on a Saturday morning by attending Shred and Stretch at Broken Bat Brewing Co. (135 E. Pittsburgh Ave.). The workout starts at 10:30 a.m. with a 30-minute HIIT session, followed by a 30-minute yoga session. Tickets to join are just $10.

Bundle up if you plan on spending an afternoon at Beans, Brews, Barrels and Barleywine taking place at Raised Grain Brewing (1725 Dolphin Dr., Waukesha) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The brewery is releasing its 2022 Barleywine, and taking the party outside to celebrate. Burn barrels will be fired up and chili will be available.

Sunday, Jan. 16

New Barons Brewing Co-op (2018 S. 1st St.) is releasing Black Bier, a schwarzbier with a cool label inspired by the legendary punk band Black Flag. The fun starts at 1 p.m.

Head to MobCraft by 11 a.m. for a one-hour yoga session. Cost is $25 and includes a post-workout beer.
