Laura Dronzek returns to Tory Folliard Gallery with new landscape and still-life paintings. Her landscapes are intimate in size, but they offer views of grand themes in fictive locations, suggested with rich layered surfaces. The essence of a fleeting season is captured in her floral still-lifes. An avid gardener, Dronzek explores the core properties of form and color of this fragile subject. A Wisconsin artist, Dronzek's paintings appear in museums and private collections nationally and she is a published author and award winning illustrator of children books.
