Chefrigerator: Zach Espinosa
Bivalves and branzino are among the fresh catches on Zach Espinosa’s menu at Harbor House. But they’re not in the fridge he shares with his wife, Katie, the GM at fellow Bartolotta restaurant Bacchus. Nope, not a fin to be found.

Chefrigerator: Dan Van Rite
The fridge is a window to the soul. The chef’s soul. We asked our very first fridge subject, Hinterland’s Dan Van Rite, not to purge or clean his home fridge before we snapped some pics. Our consensus: suspiciously neat.

Brenda Poppy

Brenda Poppy is a senior at Marquette University with one semester left to go. She is studying journalism and sociology and intends to become a magazine journalist. Brenda is currently learning the trade as one of the summer editorial interns at Milwaukee Magazine. She previously worked as the assistant travel editor of 414 Magazine, where she honed her skills by writing about her travel adventures. Ann Christenson
Senior Editor
Milwaukee Magazine’s dining critic since 1997, Ann Christenson blogs about restaurants, chefs and just about anything edible and local in Dish on Dining. When she’s not thinking about her next meal, she’s … well, she’s always thinking about her next meal.

Sarah loves the city life of Milwaukee and is always up for trying something new, so she is thrilled to be blogging (daily!) about this year’s Downtown Dining Week. When she is not writing, she is exploring Milwaukee, gardening or feeding her music addiction.
