What’s not to love about Walker’s Point? Pleasantly industrial with cheap(er) rent, artist lofts, artists, restaurants. And oh, the restaurants. A welcome consequence of this year’s renewed focus on good South Side eateries – Braise, c.1880, Zak’s, The Noble – is an increase in traffic, by foot and wheels, to an otherwise slightly desolate part of the city. No longer are folks passing directly from the Third Ward into Bay View. They’re turning off Kinnickinnic, exploring haunts new and old, and helping revitalize a neighborhood with an extraordinary amount to offer. We’ll eat to that.
