Judging by Larry Sanders’ Instagram account, the Milwaukee Bucks center probably just signed a contract extension that will keep him with the team for “the next five years.”
And also judging by the photo, he wasn’t the only one excited at the prospect.
Word had already leaked out that Sanders was on the verge of signing an extension in the range of four years and $44 million.
No official word of the signing has yet to come from the Bucks. We’ll update this post as warranted.
Updated: The Milwaukee Bucks have issued a press release confirming the contract extension, though details of the deal were not included.
"By combining his God-given ability with hard work and determination, Larry has developed into one of the top young defensive players in the league," Bucks General Manager John Hammond said in the release. "He is a very important part of what we are doing in Milwaukee, and we're excited to announce his contract extension."
The Bucks are planning a press conference with Sanders for "early next week."
