- In Milwaukee, a rally was held Sunday in solidarity with protesters in Ferguson. The group assembled at Red Arrow Park, where on April 30, 31-year-old Dontre Hamilton was fatally shot by a Milwaukee police officer, reports the Journal Sentinel.
- The U.S. Dept. of Education is projecting that for the first time, the number of minority students in public schools will outnumber white students this fall.
- According to a new memo from the Legislative Fiscal Bureau, expanding Medicaid would have saved $206 million in the Wisconsin state budget from 2013-2015.
- Mo'ne Davis of Philadelphia's Taney Dragons became the first girl to throw a shutout in the Little League World Series.
