  • The number of U.S. soldiers on Iraq ground has now risen to 380. President Obama has ordered another 130 advisers to assist in a rescue plan for thousands of refugees.
  • Mary Burke won the Democratic gubernatorial primary on Tuesday. Burke will face republican Gov. Scott Walker come Election Day on Nov. 4.
  • Are you a lefty? If so, today is your special day. Aug. 13 marks International Left-Hander’s Day.
  • Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke defeated opponent Chris Moews by 4,644 votes in race for sheriff. 
  • Just when you think you've seen it all. A woman was alarmed to discover a swastika, penned with butter, on her McDonald's sandwich bun.
