Chocolate-ier by the lake? Seems that way. Indulgence Chocolatiers owner Julie Waterman started her business six years ago in Waukesha. Last year, she increased her line's Milwaukee presence by opening a chocolate “boutique” in Shorewood (4525 N. Oakland Ave.). It's a super-elegant spot to market her line of truffles, toffees, chocolate bars and other treats. Next week, Waterman is ready to pull back the curtain on what will be her new headquarters. All production has moved from Waukesha to a storefront in Walker’s Point (at 211 S. Second St.). The grand opening is set for Friday, August 9. The Second Street space is not only a production facility. It has a small retail shop and a large pairing bar where people can order from a changing selection of chocolates, cheeses, wines and beers. Think of it as a place to get a glass of wine or beer and a chocolate, or flights of wine or beer combined with specific chocolates and cheeses. For cheeses: You could try (Wisconsin-made) Roelli Dunbarton Blue cheese with a blackberry espresso truffle. For beers: Milwaukee Brewing Company's Weekend @ Louie's, served with a lavender sea salt truffle. A wine example: 2012 Folk Machine Pinot Noir, with a hazelnut praline. Hours: Tues-Sat 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
