Lately, things have been eerily quiet in the camp of a Music Notes favorite and one of Milwaukee’s hardest working acts, The Fatty Acids. However, the city’s premier indie-pop sextuplet cut through the uncharacteristic silence with a series of significant announcements –delivered in a characteristically zany and innovative way.
In a video sent to us, details of the release show for the long-awaited third album (to be called Boléro) were given, using pizza, hot dogs and melon to spell out the details. The Fatties will release Boléro during a Sept. 6 headlining set at Pabst Theater, with special guests Sat. Nite Duets and Faux Fir.
If you can’t make the show, the album will be available digitally Sept. 3.
September seems awfully far away. So the band also wanted to tide over listeners by releasing its first Boléro single, “Airsick,” early. As always, you can download it, naming your own price, on The Fatty Acids’ Bandcamp page.
