It's summer menu time at Cafe at the Plaza.

I’ve said it before. I’ll say it again: I love breakfast. Just in time for Bastille Days, the Downtown breakfast-lunch joint Cafe at the Plaza is rocking a new menu. A summer menu. Chef Christopher Stoye has been busy making the morning look up in so many ways. What you’ll find on the breakfast side: omelet variations (including build your own); breakfast club sandwich with eggs, prosciutto, avocado, goat cheese, etc.; eggs Benedict with smoked salmon or pork belly; French toast stuffed with vanilla-malt cream cheese; and biscuits and gravy ($8-$11). Lunch: grass-fed beef burger, beer-battered tilapia sandwich, beef brisket sandwich with bourbon baked beans, plus a selection of breakfast items you can order until the place closes (at 2 p.m. daily). By the way, the cafe is a mere block from the Bastille Days grounds. (Plaza Hotel, 1007 N. Cass St., 414-272-0515).
