Hey Same-Sex Couples, Minnesota Wants You to Marry There
After the passage of the Freedom to Marry Bill, Minnesota starts marketing itself to same-sex couples. And Saint Paul is starting at PrideFest.

In what can only be deemed an attempt to drum up some business, the official convention and visitors bureau of Saint Paul, Minnesota, is taking a trip to Milwaukee this weekend. That’s because the Freedom to Marry Bill recently passed in Minnesota, and same-sex marriages will start Aug. 1.

To spread the word, Visit Saint Paul’s mobile visitor center, nicknamed Paul, will set up near the main gate during Pridefest June 8 and 9.

And you might want to stop by. Anyone that takes a picture with Paul and submits it is entered into a drawing to win a package including an overnight hotel stay and two tickets to Beyonce on July 18 in a suite at Xcel Energy Center. That or an iPad Mini. All entrants are also entered into a drawing for the VIP Saint Paul Experience – a $4,000 value.

Paul will also distribute information on complimentary wedding services for same-sex couples as well as promotion of the Twin Cities Pride festival June 29-30.
