The National Comes to Milwaukee
The band spent six hours playing the same song at MoMA

The National will play the Riverside Theater Aug. 5, but the band spent last weekend doing something a little different. As part of a “durational performance” by Icelandic artist Ragnar Kjartansson, the band played their song “Sorrow” for six hours in a row. You read that right. Six hours. In a row. The "A Lot of Sorrow" performance happened Sunday at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

We’re guessing their Milwaukee show will have a little more variety. Check out a song from their album Trouble Will Find Me, out May 21.
