Brides are always coming to me and saying that they want something different and unique for their wedding day. Usually, the first things that come to their minds are trendy table designs or a fun location but I also like to suggest adding something unique and fun to the bride’s couture. Sure the dress is probably new but accessories can add that extra special wow factor when they are carefully planned out as opposed to being an afterthought.
One of my new favorite Milwaukee designers is Jackie Barutha, owner and designer of Jaxie Bridal. The original Jaxie was started in 2009 by accident after Jackie found herself receiving compliments from complete strangers on her handmade hairpieces while walking the streets of LA. After investing only a few hundred dollars, Jaxie was born and later resulted in the formation of the Jaxie Bridal line which is now found in multiple stores throughout the Milwaukee area including Miss Ruby and Zita Bridal.
Jackie creates everything from veils, to clutches to bridal belts with her inspiration coming from vintage glamor and the use of unique pieces. Can’t find anything that fits the style of your day? Jackie loves customizing her accessories and will help you design some pieces that compliment your sense of style and design. One of the many great things that come with working with Jaxie is that all of her consultations are complimentary and if you can’t sit down with her she’ll set up a skype!
Jackie’s designs are unique, fun and are guaranteed to have your guests admiring your fabulous sense of style. I’ve included a few of my favorites below but strongly suggest checking out her website on both Etsy and Website!
Remember, just because you’ve already walked down the aisle doesn’t mean that you can’t wear Jackie’s designs! Take a look at her regular line of accessories at www.shopjaxie.etsy.com and after baby makes three, be sure to check out www.shopliljax.etsy.com.
