Free passport photos coming on Thursday.
Knock $10 off the cost of a passport this Thursday by participating in "Passport Day in the USA," the anthem-worthy federal program that results in a variety of benefits for consumers, including free photos, as is the case here in Milwaukee County, and Saturday hours, as is the case with some other participating agencies. (Not all will be participating this year, however, because of the sequester.)
County Clerk Joe Czarnezki says to stop into the clerk's office, Room 105 at the County Courthouse, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Thursday for a free passport photo, a $10 value. The actual passport still costs $135 for adults and $105 for children and teens under 16.
Grab the federal passport application ahead of time from the U.S. State Department.
