Chef Departing SURG's HOM
A kitchen staff change at the Brookfield farm-to-table restaurant.

Executive chef Andrew Miller is cutting the proverbial cord from HOM Wood Fired Grill (17800 W. Blue Mound Rd.). Saturday Feb. 22 is Miller’s last day in the kitchen. (Miller was also exec chef at HOM’s SURG-operated predecessor, 8-twelve MVP Bar & Grill.) While Miller isn’t ready to reveal his career plans, the SURG folks have his replacement lined up. He is Mike Meinzer, who was the executive chef at The Capital Grille (310 W. Wisconsin Ave.) before arriving at HOM. The Brookfield restaurant is set to have a sister location at Bayshore Town Center, but the company has not announced an opening date.
