Morning Links for Feb. 14, 2014
Bitcoins, Time Warner Cable and the rise of Fallon.
Morning Links has reemerged from the shadowy halls of the American news media with links to inform, inspire and enrage.
  • Video from Bloomberg on Comcast's lobbying clout. Short version: They have a lot of soldiers in the fight to win approval of a merger with Time Warner Cable.
  • Facebook now provides many, many more options for gender identification. Computerworld says privacy setting can be applied to one's choice, but pronouns are public. ("Wish her a happy birthday.")
  • The Tonight Show opens on Monday with Jimmy Fallon at the helm. The former SNL cast members and Late Night Host is said to provide a clean break from the Jay Leno era.
NOTE: A previous version of this post misstated when Fallon would be taking over at The Tonight Show. We deeply regret the error.
