High times here at Cut Lines because its editor is, for the first time, excited to be attending Gallery Night. Shopping events abound in conjunction with the local gallery openings, so don't forget to hop into a couple boutiques to browse the wearable art.
- Diane von Furstenberg's "Journey of a Dress" exhibit opened in Los Angeles, and I'm happy to say I can check it out in a few weeks and report back.
- You already knew this - or suspected it - but it has been confirmed: some trends are just plain bad for your health. Styleite offers "healthier" alternatives. But not everyone is on board with this as evidenced by "the corset diet."
- Anna Wintour's name will be immortalized when the Costume Institute at the Met becomes Anna Wintour Costume Center after renovations are complete. According to The Daily Beast, Wintour has helped raise $135 million for the museum.
- Stephanie Horne Boutique is kicking off its semi-annual sale in conjunction with tonight's Gallery Night in the Third Ward. The store's website also got a sweet makeover.
