Bradley Center Teams Oppose Strip Club
Bucks, Admirals and Marquette send letter to city leaders

Leaders from the Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Admirals and Marquette University have sent a letter to city leaders voicing their collective opposition to a proposed downtown strip club.

Silk Exotic owner Joe Ferraro has made several attempts to get a club licensed at various locations, only to be turned down. Now, with focus for the proposed location turning to the corner of Fourth Street and Highland Boulevard – across the street from the BMO Harris Bradley Center – the arena’s main tenants sent their letter to Mayor Tom Barrett and Common Council members.

“Without a doubt the presence of a strip club will change the way our neighborhood is perceived and hurt our business,” they wrote, and voiced concerns that fans, particularly families with children, couldn’t avoid seeing it, given its close proximity to the arena.

The letter was signed by Marquette Athletic Director Larry Williams, Admirals President Jon Greenberg and Ron Walter, Bucks executive vice president for business administration.
