Now U See Us, Soon You Won’t
Local pop-up art boutique opens this weekend for a limited time.

One more reason to buy local this holiday season: Now U See Us will set up shop in front of Murray Hill Pottery Works at 2456 N. Murray Ave., for two months and sell unique and handmade items from over 20 local artists. Celebrate the opening this Friday, Nov. 2 from 5-10 p.m. Meet the artists, enjoy refreshments and get a jump on your holiday shopping.

Local artists Stuart Shanks and Geralyn Flick created Now U See Us as a way to connect artists and consumers. “After the summer festival season, there aren’t many ways for artists to bring their art to the public,” says Shanks. “There was so much interest after we did a one-night shop, we thought we’d open for the holiday season to allow people more opportunities to buy local.” The endeavor is artist run and staffed, so you might even get to meet the creator of your treasure while you shop.

Flick is the owner of Murray Hill Pottery Works Shanks is a designer and architect. They made a conscious effort to select artists producing a variety of different art from ceramics, jewelry, and silk-screened wares, to soy candles and soap.

From Nov. 3 to Dec. 31, shop Now You See Us Tuesday through Friday, 12-8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 12-4 p.m. Find more information on their Facebook page or call 414-332-8828.
