Meet the New MKE Letters
Now being used as they were intended.
General Mitchell International Airport just tweeted out this photo of a crane hoisting three new "MKE" letters into place. Remember, this is what these three letters are supposed to be used for.

Here are some other FAA location identifiers used by airstrips/helipads in the city. Slim pickings, from a marketing perspective. Meet me at 23WS? LJT? 15C? My 2WI3 Hospital?

And hey, we just did a feature on the airport a while back: "A Little Turbulence." Suck down your ginger ale, it's going to be a bumpy ride.
